Level 42: early-board notes
These notes describe visible checkpoints in the Daisy Gaming recording, reviewed on . Use them alongside the video to compare your board. They are not a complete tap-by-tap solution; fish names below describe colors and shapes, not official species names.
Compare the early board at 0:10 →
The recorded progress counter has a goal of 162. This is the on-screen counter, not a move count or a count of fish visible in one frame.
What is filling in the order row?
The orange fish with purple stripes is filling its order, while the green yellow-faced fish shows 1/3 and the small gold orange-and-cream fish shows 2/3. The active portraits provide a better reference than color alone. Dark blue fish with white stripes have a similar banded pattern but a different body and background color.
Where do the green and gold targets appear?
Green yellow-faced candidates are exposed around the center, middle right, lower center, and bottom-left group. A gold candidate is also visible at the bottom left. Compare those two portraits carefully in the shared lower group; nearby pale fish with vertical gold bands are a separate design from the small horizontal orange-and-cream target.
Which pairs provide useful landmarks?
A pink-and-cream pair appears around the middle right, and an orange-purple striped pair sits near the bottom center. Spotted blue puffers occupy the central group and lower-right areas. Use these exposed pairs to orient the board, then recheck the current order row before planning around a pair whose portrait is no longer active.
Video source and version check
This Level 42 mapping was verified from the Daisy Gaming Fish Sort Puzzle playlist on 2026-09-30. The guide targets the Shycheese game with Android package triple.sorting.bubble.fish.match. Updates can change a board, so report a mismatch with the app version and opening layout.
